COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course offers a wonderful chance for children today to dive into the timeless epic of Ramayana. Often, they’re unaware that Ramayana isn’t just a tale but an ‘Itihasa’, history itself. Unfortunately, misconceptions have spread, even among Indians, influenced by Western beliefs that label Ramayana as mere fiction. Ramayana, however, is far more profound. It’s not a work of imagination but a reflection of our past, our heritage. Itihasa means history as it is, without any exaggeration or bias. If my words don’t convince you, consider the intriguing details found within Valmiki’s Ramayana. For instance, when Hanuman embarks on his mission to find Sita, he encounters flying machines guarding Ravana’s palace in Sri Lanka. Even more astonishing, Valmiki describes four-tusked elephants protecting the palace—a detail that aligns with modern discoveries of fossilized four-tusked elephants dating back millions of years. This revelation only deepens the significance of Ramayana, suggesting its roots stretch further back in time than previously thought. This course serves as a bridge between generations, allowing grandparents and grandchildren to come together and share the rich stories of Ramayana. Certified teachers lead the way, presenting the epic in an engaging manner that resonates with both young and old. These stories are shared exactly as they appear in Valmiki’s Ramayana, preserving their authenticity and timeless wisdom.
